Space 15 Twenty's New Flea Market

This Sunday, from 11am-4pm, take a stop by Space 15 Twenty's new flea market of vintage lovelies, art/crafts, local designers and more up for grabs. There will also be a sale of $1 items and a bake sale to raise money for the Red Cross' efforts in helping the people of Haiti, which has been recently struck by a 7.0 magnitude Earthquake... too bad this market is located in Los Angels, California... or I would've gone to help :)

Hamburger Macaroon

Do not be tricked. This is no real hamburger. It is in fact, a macaroon!

Who knew this delicious looking meal is actually a sweet little dessert! Talk about hyperrealism...

The buns: cocoa-tinted macarons.
The burger: a slice of dried plum.
The cheese: coffee buttercream.
The lettuce (the pickles?): green decorating sugar.
The mustard: a slice of dried apricot.
The ketchup: raspberry jam.
No tomatoes — they're unforgivably redundant with ketchup, even on a cookie. (I completely agree with this)

Oh, this is just so awesome.

xoxo,
Yvonne

Chocolate Snow

Everytime we get 6 inches or more snow, my family and I would go out and hunt for the freshest, whitest snow and turn it into a delicious dessert. Below, I added Hershey's Chocolate Syrup, and the syrup actually thickens the snow a bit and, of course, adds a chocolatey taste. You could, however, mix the snow with honey instead and even add Raisinets, nuts, or fruits.

Delicious. Cold. Yum.

Sweet Sculpture

In New York, Aaron King's new sculpture- named Untitled (Someone Left the Cake Out in the Rain)- is coated with messages like, "No Climbing" and "Do Not Step." Hmmf... okay? *fingers crossed*
