Revolution

I saw some of my friends on Facebook get tagged in an album called SIGNS and started loling. I am pretty sure others had thought of this idea before but I have a whole lot of respect for the guy that made this album... I hope he doesn't mind me posting some of his pictures on my blog...

Why use phones, Facebook and email if you could just meet people this way? What a revolution.

Change is Good

Hey bloggy buddies! I am planning to give my blog a little makeover sometime in August since I am traveling to China in July. I already have a little idea of what I want to do but I need my new camera to accomplish it, which I would be getting in the beginning of July before my fantastic trip to China... so I guess you guys are just gonna have to wait a little longer to experience a whole new Von Boudoir.

sbohem,

Craig Schlewitz

Craig Schlewitz's photos are absolutely beautiful, dreamy and transcendent with the warm and nostalgic editing. He achieves this with his choice of colors and marvelous landscapes. Craig photographs the world in a very meaningful way and I, along with others, believe that he should get a testimonial.

Check out his flickr and tumblr.

Flosstradomus feat. Caroline Polachek- "Big Bills"

I'm surprised Flosstradomus took this approach since it is totally not their style... but anyone who works with Caroline Polachek (singer from Chairlift- favorite band of all time), earns my respect.

p.s. Samantha Pleet's Poppy Suit, from her spring 2010 collection, was mentioned in Teen Vogue's most recent editorial...

I love how Amanda Seyfried (right) strikes a similar poise to the model's... But she looks amazing in Samantha's Poppy Suit!

Kristin Gallegos

Urban Outfitters has launched their new beauty store with New York make-up artist Kristin Gallegos. Ever since she was a kid, she has been obsessing over colors like Midnight Blue, Burnt Sienna, Razmatazz, Blue Green, Periwinkle and Salmon. However, Kristin has switched from crayons to collections of eyeshadow, eyeliner, etc.

Kristin Gallegos was always an artist at heart and once she mastered theater make-up in ballet, she began looking at doing professional make-up. Being more drawn to fashion, she started doing make-up for many fashion editorials, advertisements, photography, and fashion shows. With these many opportunities, Kristin finds herself being able to express her ideals and be inspired by so many different things.

Jack Johnson - To The Sea

Jack Johnson's new album, To The Sea, was released yesterday. I have been obsessing over this all day when I saw someone's status say, JACK JOHNSON'S NEW ALBUM IS OUTTT!! This got me on the phone calling my mom to get it for me. *sigh* I've been so busy worrying about finals I haven't been able to keep up with my favorite artists or even this blog. I'll step up my game after my trip to China...

Can't stop watching this. This hombre is one of the most amazing artists and can surf (with his body and on a surfboard). IDOL right there.

With lots of love,
Yvonne

Lady Gaga Gets Personal on Larry King

The Bad Romance star got personal on last night's Larry King and fans are beginning to worry about their queen of pop. Rumor has it that Lady Gaga may have lupus. Lupus is a chronic, inflammatory autoimmune disorder that may affect the skin, joints, lungs and other organs. Lady Gaga has confessed that the genetic disease has been among her family. However, she underwent testing for the disease that had taken the life of her aunt Joanne and results show that she is currently not affected by the condition. Despite this fortunate news, her doctors still recommend that she takes care of her body in case any symptoms appear. Too late for that, Lady Gaga has announced to Times that she had recently suffered from "heart palpitations and... fatigue and other things." In April, at a concert in Tokyo, she said she had trouble breathing and had a little oxygen before going on stage.
This unfortunate news has fans all over the world worried for the pop star. Will she follow her friend Michael Jackson (whom is also another sensitive subject Gaga agreed to discuss with Larry King) soon? Hopefully not because her reign is still not over.

Sweet dreams,
Yvonne

p.s. In love with Lady Gaga's choice of wardrobe last night: mirror image of Larry King's outfit?

Blackberry Winter

It finally feels like spring and it's Easter! Although I am not Christian, my mom is and I still get to enjoy the egg and bunny shaped candy...

My bunny, Chestnut, also gets little carrot delights :)

The Scenic Motherland

Don't worry vonboudoir lovelies... this does not mean I am going to stop blogging, in fact I am going on little adventures so I could write something interesting about myself for once...

My first stop is in Disney World in Florida this April vacation... FOR THE FIRST TIME! I feel like a little kid now for being so excited... but it is Disney World! However, I definitely want to go to the Disney World in Hong Kong one day.

Oh, and speaking of Asia...

I am going to travel to the other side of the world to China this summer with my mom and maybe my sister (who is in traveling around Europe right now). I can not wait to visit my relatives and see what my aunt has planned for us...

Pictures of China from a couple years ago...

My aunt on the far left, me in the middle and my sister on the right.

*Sigh* First I have to get through school and finals before seeing that again...

 Love,
Yvonne

p.s. Have a great vacation guys!
