Revolution

I saw some of my friends on Facebook get tagged in an album called SIGNS and started loling. I am pretty sure others had thought of this idea before but I have a whole lot of respect for the guy that made this album... I hope he doesn't mind me posting some of his pictures on my blog...

Why use phones, Facebook and email if you could just meet people this way? What a revolution.

Functioned Branches

"It's going to be a place where only the things you want to happen, would happen."

Isn't this collection just so gratifying?

Tell Her She's Beautiful

Sometimes I have to admit I feel self conscious too but once I finally get over that stupid, tiny flaw; I will be out of my depressing bubble and into reality again... unless I'm daydreaming. :)

However, just recently I have begun to realize it has been raining a whole lot lately.

Girls and guys are feeling more terrible about themselves every day. They all live up to the standards the media has set up for them and some would go to the extremes just to reach them. This pulls me closer to my depressing bubble, but this time for others. Seeing girls and guys distressed and feeling worthless makes me sad, because they are all beautiful in their own unique way. But I guess it's because they don't hear that word enough. Beautiful. Such a lovely word and everyone deserves to hear it.

So on February 14th (aka Valentine's Day); tell everyone you know they're beautiful, because they are.

Let the sunlight peek through the clouds.

The Lessons of the Butterfly

Once upon a time...

A man spent hours watching a butterfly struggling to emerge from its cocoon. It managed to make a small hole, but its body was to large to get through it. After a long struggle, it appeared to be exhausted and remained absolutely still. The man decided to help the butterfly and, with pair of scissors, he cut open the cocoon, thus releasing the butterfly. However, the butterfly's body was very small and wrinkled and its wings were all crumpled.
The man continued to watch, hoping that at any moment, the butterfly would open its wings and fly away. Nothing happened; in fact, the butterfly spent the rest of it's brief life dragging around it's shrunken body and shrivelled wings, incapable of flight.
What the man - out of kindness and his eagerness to help - had failed to understand was that the tight cocoon and the efforts that the butterfly had to make in order to squeeze out of that tiny hole were Nature's way of training the butterfly and of strengthening its wings.

I am still tearing up after reading this little story for about the 100th time on one of my favorite blogs, Simplify...
It is just so sweet and sad!
I hope this story appealed to you as much as it had to me :)
