I already have a little idea of what I want to do but I need my new camera to accomplish it, which I would be getting in the beginning of July before my fantastic trip to China... so I guess you guys are just gonna have to wait a little longer to experience a whole new Von Boudoir.

Urban Outfitters has launched their new beauty store with New York make-up artist Kristin Gallegos. Ever since she was a kid, she has been obsessing over colors like Midnight Blue, Burnt Sienna, Razmatazz, Blue Green, Periwinkle and Salmon. However, Kristin has switched from crayons to collections of eyeshadow, eyeliner, etc.

Kristin Gallegos was always an artist at heart and once she mastered theater make-up in ballet, she began looking at doing professional make-up. Being more drawn to fashion, she started doing make-up for many fashion editorials, advertisements, photography, and fashion shows. With these many opportunities, Kristin finds herself being able to express her ideals and be inspired by so many different things.

Jack Johnson - To The Sea

Jack Johnson's new album, To The Sea, was released yesterday. I have been obsessing over this all day when I saw someone's status say, JACK JOHNSON'S NEW ALBUM IS OUTTT!! This got me on the phone calling my mom to get it for me. *sigh* I've been so busy worrying about finals I haven't been able to keep up with my favorite artists or even this blog. I'll step up my game after my trip to China...

Can't stop watching this. This hombre is one of the most amazing artists and can surf (with his body and on a surfboard). IDOL right there.

Lady Gaga Gets Personal on Larry King

     The Bad Romance star got personal on last night's Larry King and fans are beginning to worry about their queen of pop. Rumor has it that Lady Gaga may have lupus. Lupus is a chronic, inflammatory autoimmune disorder that may affect the skin, joints, lungs and other organs. Lady Gaga has confessed that the genetic disease has been among her family. However, she underwent testing for the disease that had taken the life of her aunt Joanne and results show that she is currently not affected by the condition. Despite this fortunate news, her doctors still recommend that she takes care of her body in case any symptoms appear. Too late for that, Lady Gaga has announced to Times that she had recently suffered from "heart palpitations and... fatigue and other things." In April, at a concert in Tokyo, she said she had trouble breathing and had a little oxygen before going on stage.
     This unfortunate news has fans all over the world worried for the pop star. Will she follow her friend Michael Jackson (whom is also another sensitive subject Gaga agreed to discuss with Larry King) soon? Hopefully not because her reign is still not over.

Tell Her She's Beautiful

Sometimes I have to admit I feel self conscious too but once I finally get over that stupid, tiny flaw; I will be out of my depressing bubble and into reality again... unless I'm daydreaming. :)

However, just recently I have begun to realize it has been raining a whole lot lately.

Girls and guys are feeling more terrible about themselves every day. They all live up to the standards the media has set up for them and some would go to the extremes just to reach them. This pulls me closer to my depressing bubble, but this time for others. Seeing girls and guys distressed and feeling worthless makes me sad, because they are all beautiful in their own unique way. But I guess it's because they don't hear that word enough. Beautiful. Such a lovely word and everyone deserves to hear it.

So on February 14th (aka Valentine's Day); tell everyone you know they're beautiful, because they are.

Let the sunlight peek through the clouds.

Urban Renewal

Seems like Urban Outfitters has another big surprise worth sharing...

Urban Outfitters decided to go to Los Angeles and visit a rag house... and scored in the huge warehouse full of recycled and vintage textiles sorted into packages piled up to the ceiling. They were originally searching for distressed denim for their Fall 2010 collection... but then an associate called, announcing about an auction for her amazing vintage archive... Urban Outfitters bought the collection without hesitation...

I am super excited for this new addition to the UO's stores...

But I'm impatient too.

Space 15 Twenty's New Flea Market

 

This Sunday, from 11am-4pm, take a stop by Space 15 Twenty's new flea market of vintage lovelies, art/crafts, local designers and more up for grabs. There will also be a sale of $1 items and a bake sale to raise money for the Red Cross' efforts in helping the people of Haiti, which has been recently struck by a 7.0 magnitude Earthquake... too bad this market is located in Los Angels, California... or I would've gone to help :)
