Functioned Branches

"It's going to be a place where only the things you want to happen, would happen."

- Maurice Sendak, Where the Wild Things Are

Isn't this collection just so gratifying?

Don't Forget to Fly

With soft powdered pinks and a delicate touch, this collection of photos (each with its own quote) are truly inspiring.
They remind me a bit of Valentine's day...

xoxo,
Yvonne

p.s. When I first discovered this collection, I noticed our websites had the same background!
Vintage wallpapers are beautiful and will never get old :)

Paper Jam Press

Although I am sure anyone is capable in making these...
They're still pretty awesome!

They have even inspired me to handcraft my own message...

Life is like a Funyun. You taste it, and you like it.
Then you take it for granted
and the next thing you know,
it’s gone. And you miss it. Now
all that’s left are the small
crumbs that remind you of
those great moments,
when in reality, you’ve got
nothing. Nothing but the pain
of an empty stomach.

Well, then just grab another bag of Funyuns and all will be well again :)

It's a bit more complex and longer but...
Oh hell yes.

bestofwishes,
Yvonne

Bec Winnel

One of my favorite bloggers, Daydream Lily, isn't the only talented one in her family. In fact, her lovely sister also holds a bit of magic in her hands...

Bec Winnel has created these gorgeous illustrations for the Tasmanian jewelery label That Vintage...
But that isn't all I'm sharing with you!
I am also delightful to share That Vintage is going to turn 2 years old on Valentine's day and EVERYTHING in store will be shipped FREE! Also, along with your purchase, you will receive an extra, little sweet gift...
*swoon*

Alright. Now, back to the main point of this post...

Bec Winnel is a very talented young lady and I have more pieces by her to share...

These three pieces by Bec are my favorite and are undoubtedly beautiful.
The soft, quiet tones really bring out the innocence of each girl and Bec's realistic style has met to its fullest.
You can even see the reflection in the eyes...

Au Revoir,
Yvonne

Dace Fashion Illustration

Dace has commissioned indie illustrator Dallas Shaw to create lovely fashion illustrations that resemble pieces from their Spring 2010 collection. However, the best part is if you buy something from their Spring 2010 collection, you will be able to receive an illustration!

You can find out more about this here :)

Yvonne

p.s. Also check out Dace's video, Longing For You..., of their latest collection. It's amazing. (p.p.s. you may want to pause my music player to listen to video below)

Katy Gromball

Influenced by Japanese art, Katy Gromball creates lovely pieces with mixed paper textures...

I really admire how Katy is able to recreate this particular Japanese style with a twist of her own... and how her main focus is nature and the seasons... :)
Check out Katy's blog and Etsy shop!

xoxo,
Yvonne

p.s. Looking through more of Katy's artwork on her blog... I felt a bit inspired. As usual.
I haven't been drawing or painting for a while, but is planning to and hopefully you'll see a post about them soon... once I get a break... always so busy :/
